Each woman’s cycle is unique. Some women barely notice their period. For others their period can be a monthly ordeal with mood swings, painful cramps, weight gain and heavy bleeding. PMT, PMS (Premenstrual Syndrome) is the range of symptoms that correspond with monthly cycles. Symptoms may include:

Irritability, anger • Mood swings • Depression • Tearful Sensitivity • Confusion or Fuzziness • Fatigue • Insomnia • Change in Libido • Food Cravings; savoury or sweet • Clumsiness, lack of balance • Alcohol intolerance • Acne or oily skin • Abdominal & pelvic cramps • Bloating, weight gain • Headaches or Migraines • Breast swelling/pain • Heart palpitations • Constipation/Nausea

In the West, PMT symptoms are often thought to be a normal part of menstruation.

In Chinese medicine, however, PMT is considered to be the result of an underlying imbalance or deficiency. With a brief time period of regular Acupuncture sessions and nutritional guidance, PMT is often a thing of the past within weeks.

Energy & Wellness

Calming nervous energy, clearing toxins and improving organ function contribute to a balanced and disease-free mind & body.

You may be diagnosed as having good health with no disease patterns, but still not feel truly well or vitalised.

Chinese Acupuncture practice sees the body as a whole entity, everything is connected.

Underlying causes of illness are often associated with mental, emotional and even spiritual weakness.

Like maintenance for your car the body also responds to fine-tuning:
Preventative care is easy with Acupuncture. Have regular, consistent session - less frequently - (i.e., once a month).

This will prevent illness, rather than only having acupuncture when you are feeling awful and need to be fixed again. Mental peace and emotional balance are an ongoing concern in today’s busy life style.

Make it easy on yourself through moderation and consistency. Maintain a relaxed schedule of regular treatments.

In the second month of treatment with Jess, I experienced an easy period, which gave me relief I haven’t had in years. My quality of life is improved and I don’t count days or get nervous about my periods anymore.
